Transforming Lives Through Education

Hello. My name is Amare Berhie, and I am the proud father of three children—two sons and one daughter. As a parent, I know the joy of watching my children dream big and work toward a brighter future. Yet, as the co-founder and chair of the Ethiopian Girls’ Bright Future Fund (EthioGBFF), I see how countless Ethiopian girls are denied this opportunity due to poverty and a lack of resources.

I have witnessed how education transforms lives—opening doors, empowering communities, and inspiring hope. In Ethiopia, however, many determined young women face barriers like poverty, cultural constraints, and limited resources. These challenges prevent them from pursuing their dreams and breaking free from the cycle of poverty.

At EthioGBFF, we are on a mission to change that. We provide critical financial support for school supplies, hygiene products, and transportation to empower young women in underserved communities to achieve their full potential. More than that, we’re building a generation of leaders—doctors, engineers, teachers, and changemakers—who will uplift their families and communities.
