Cancer has had a significant impact on me with close family and friends affected by the horrible disease. Having cancer can lead to significant financial strain due to medical expenses, lost income from time off work, and additional costs for transportation and caregiving. Many patients face mounting bills for treatments and medications, which can lead to debt and financial instability, compounding the emotional toll of the diagnosis. The Roots in Communities Market Foundation is excited to host their 4th annual - 2024 Cancer Support Auction. Last year we awarded 8 cancer patients/survivors with $250. This year we would like to double the awards to $500. By easing some of their financial burdens, we can help them focus on healing. Together, we can make a difference.
