For twelve years, Wisconsin Independent Learning College (WILC) has proudly served as a place where young adults on the autism spectrum can learn, grow, and thrive. As an autism-specific 501(c)(3) educational non-profit in Waukesha, we offer far more than a classroom experience. WILC is a community where students gain the skills and confidence they need to lead meaningful, independent lives.

Every day, our students engage in a vibrant curriculum designed to build independence and self-esteem. They practice daily living skills, strengthen communication, and explore group and individual cooking projects. Music and recreational therapies bring joy and connection, while pre-vocational training prepares them for future employment. For those ready to take the next step, we provide job coaching and volunteer opportunities, helping each individual find purpose and belonging in the wider community.

The purpose of this year’s gala is threefold:

To raise vital funds that will improve and expand the services provided in our programming,
To build a strong foundation for the future of WILC by providing our students with new technology to grow their skills,
And to create a supportive community where our students can continue to thrive.
