At Children of the World Learning Center (COTWLC), we believe every child deserves the chance to thrive, no matter their zip code, income level, or language spoken at home. Backed by Charlotte’s Leading on Opportunity initiative, early childhood education has been identified as a key determinant of economic mobility and social equity—and our center is proud to be part of that mission.

With your support, we’re creating classrooms where children of every background learn side-by-side, where parents are empowered as advocates, and where communities are strengthened from the ground up. Your gift helps close the gap between tuition fees and the true cost of delivering our transformative programming—about $5,000 per student annually.

We will be hosting our sixth annual Light Up the Winter Night fundraiser on Saturday, December 12, 4:30-7:30. In keeping with our mission of celebrating our commonalities as well as diversity, we are recognizing festivals of light celebrated by different cultures and faiths throughout the world.

Please help us celebrate by becoming a tree sponsor. Individuals, community groups, and businesses who donate $250 or more are eligible to decorate a tree for the event. We provide the tree and lighting. You provide the decorations. We will set up a time for you to decorate the tree at your convenience the week before the event. Trees can represent your business, faith, or culture. They can be elegant or silly. Some sponsors choose to decorate a tree in honor of a local organization or in memory of a loved one.

Whether or not you decide to decorate a tree, we hope that you will donate to the campaign and attend the Light Up the Winter Night Event on December 12. There will be multicultural food, musical performances, a silent auction, and of course, beautiful trees!

Our goal is to raise $30,000 by December 31. With your help, we can continue to build a space where every child is seen, celebrated, and set up for lifelong success.
