In 2016, our first youth pantry opened at Petoskey Middle School, with eight students dealing with hunger in their young lives.

Now, in Alanson, Harbor Springs, Pellston, & Petoskey, there are 14 youth pantries, with 400 students visiting their school-based pantry every Friday.

Briannaca Cobb was one of the first eight students, and we are thrilled she is now employed as NDYP’s Youth Pantries Coordinator and the artist for this beautiful 2025 Calendar.

About the Artist

Twenty-two-year-old, Briannaca Cobb was born and raised in Petoskey, Michigan. She has lots of hobbies, but one of her favorites is drawing.

This self-taught artist was raised by her grandparents. It is through her grandfather’s heritage and traditions as a member of the Little Bay Band of Odawa Indians in Northern Michigan that these drawings were inspired.

She is profoundly grateful for the opportunity to enlighten others about her culture.
