Healing through Helene: 12 x 12 Works of Hope

Saturday, April 12th, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM EDT

In Person

On September 26, Hurricane Helene swept through our region, leaving a path of destruction that devastated homes, businesses, and livelihoods. Among those hardest hit were the artists and creative entrepreneurs who make our community vibrant. The immediate impact of flooding, mudslides, and falling trees damaged studios, workspaces, and galleries. The long-term effects have been just as devastating—loss of tourism, canceled events, and months of lost revenue have made it difficult for many artists to rebuild. Artists are not just creators—they are small business owners. They rely on sales, commissions, and events to sustain themselves, and when disaster strikes, their financial stability can be wiped out overnight. The Arts Council of Henderson County believes that art is not only a source of beauty and inspiration but also a means of survival. That’s why we are stepping in to help as many artists as possible recover, rebuild, and continue sharing their work with the world. Join Us for a Powerful Evening of Art and Support Healing Through Helene is a special fundraiser designed to provide direct relief to artists affected by the storm. This one-night-only exhibit will showcase 100 unique 12x12 wood panel artworks, each a testament to creativity, resilience, and hope. Every piece has been either created by an artist in need of support or generously donated by artists committed to helping their fellow creatives rebuild. During the ticketed portion of the event, you’ll have the opportunity to: 🎨 Meet artists directly impacted by Hurricane Helene. 🎭 Connect with artists who have donated their work to support this cause. 🎶 Enjoy live music and refreshments in a setting filled with creativity and community. 📢 Bid in the live auction, with 100 percent of proceeds going directly to artists recovering from the disaster. The online auction will run in the lead-up to the event, culminating in final bids on the night of the exhibit. Your participation—whether by attending, bidding, or spreading the word—helps provide immediate financial relief to local artists struggling to rebuild. How You Can Help ✅ Attend Healing Through Helene and be part of this inspiring night. ✅ Bid on artwork—every purchase helps an artist recover. ✅ Donate directly to support this initiative. ✅ Share this event and help us reach more supporters. This is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a movement of community support, resilience, and the power of art to heal. Join us in standing with our local artists and ensuring that the creative heartbeat of our region remains strong. Together, we can make a difference.
