The Joy Legacy: Serving Up Literacy is established in loving memory of Nicki Joy, whose lifelong commitment to literacy and education shaped countless students and reflected her deep belief in the transformative power of learning. As a teacher, Nicki's heart for helping children thrive lives on through this initiative, which carries forward her enduring impact.

We also honor Steve Joy, a long-standing and valued member of the Kiawah tennis community. Steve's dedication, service, and leadership within the Men's Group have strengthened our tennis family and enriched the broader Kiawah community for many years. Most recently, under Steve's leadership, this group has helped us raise significant funds to support and expand our programs-further demonstrating the powerful role he plays in advancing our mission.

Together, Nick's teaching legacy and Steve's tennis legacy embody the very spirit of this program. Their combined influence makes The Joy Legacy: Serving Up Literacy not only meaningful but truly fitting a tribute that unites a passion for education with the values of mentorship, community, and opportunity.
