TMF & Installation Artist collaborate on a Fungraiser ...

Featured in the 2024 TMF Silent Auction are a Shaggy Mane, a Stinkhorn, an Amanita, and a Bolete, created by found objects artist Stephanie Keil*, 2024 TMF Installation Artist, in attendance this weekend. Some are gigantic, some are fuzzy, some glow in the dark! Such a fun way to display your love for fungi at home, at a party or fundraiser, or at work. The collapsible-for-travel pieces will be displayed on the STAGE at The Palm Theater during the Festival. The winners will be announced at the Closing Ceremony at 1:30pm at The Palm. Pickup of items is immediately following the ceremony, when you'll get a chance to meet Stephanie and if necessary she'll even disassemble your new fungi friend for travel. [ NOTE: TMF CANNOT SHIP won items. ] Half of the proceeds go directly to sustaining TMF into the future, so thanks in advance. Register and start bidding. You may bid anonomously. *About Stephanie Keil and "Assemblage / Found Object Art" ... With a background in fine arts and photography, Stephanie is currently working as a research library assistant at the Missouri Botanical Garden and serves as the President of the Missouri Mycological Society. Her interest in large-scale art installations began in college where she designed mushroom props for one of her school's theater productions.

Stephanie recently revived her passion for art by creating a found object mushroom piece just for fun and presented it at the Grand Art Walk in St. Louis. She followed this event by displaying her mushroom art at the North American Mycological association annual foray held in 2022 at Trout Lodge in Missouri. It caught the eye of editor-in-chief of FUNGI magazine, Britt Bunyard, and from there she was invited to feature her work at Telluride Mushroom Festival as this year's Installation Artist.
