Atlanta Braves Legend Sid Bream to Headline Georgia Highlands College Scholarship Gala

Georgia Highlands College (GHC) is thrilled to announce that Atlanta Braves legend Sid Bream will serve as the keynote speaker for this year’s Scholarship Gala, taking place on September 18, 2025, at The Forum River Center in downtown Rome.

Bream, best known for his iconic slide into home plate during the 1992 National League Championship Series—a moment hailed by Sports Illustrated as the “Most Electrifying Moment in Atlanta Braves History”—will share reflections on his career and the importance of giving back to the next generation.

In support of this event, the GHC Foundation is hosting a special auction packed with incredible items like autographed sports memorabilia, vacation getaways, and much more.

All proceeds from the event directly support student scholarships, helping to transform lives and strengthen communities across Northwest Georgia.
