Our fifth annual fundraiser event is planned for Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Country Club in Sumner. Our theme this year is "Rock the Block". We are planning music from country artist Jake McVey, drink tastings, food, and silent auction.

Friends of CMH is the 501(c)(3) charitable arm for Community Memorial Hospital – UnityPoint Health, a non-profit rural hospital located in Sumner. We receive no municipal or city stipends and run strictly on community support.

This year we are raising funds for three defibrillators. Defibrillators are life saving devices. Defibrillators are designed to monitor for life threatening heart rhythms, provide a temporary pacemaker or shock a heart out of a fatal heart rhythm. Defibrillators are crucial to the care our patients require.
