Class of 2026 Community Impact Project

Leadership Coachella Valley is celebrating 25 years of cultivating community leadership and meaningful civic impact across the Coachella Valley.

As part of this legacy, the Leadership Coachella Valley Class of 2026, “The Trailblazers,” has selected ABC Recovery Center’s Building Hope Campaign as its class community impact project. The class is working together to raise $37,500 to support improvements that will create a more welcoming, healing, and supportive environment for individuals and families beginning their recovery journey.

Funds raised will support:

Digital Donor Wall
A permanent recognition display honoring the generosity of those who helped make this expansion possible.
Welcome Center Transformation
Creating a warm and dignified first point of contact for every person seeking support.
“The Trailblazers” Residential Bedrooms
Two bedrooms, one in the men’s dorm and one in the women’s dorm, named in recognition of the Leadership Coachella Valley Class of 2026.
Healing Courtyard Enhancements
Two courtyard trees that will provide shade, beauty, and a sense of peace within each residential space.

$100 Minimum Donation

ABC Recovery Center was built by the community, for the community, and every name tells a story of hope, resilience, and love.

With a donation of $100 or more, you may honor someone who is walking a recovery journey today or remember someone whose memory continues to inspire healing. Their name will be displayed on ABC’s Digital Donor Wall, a lasting tribute that reflects the strength of our community and the lives touched by recovery.

Each tribute will remain featured on our scrolling digital display for five years, serving as a visible legacy of support, compassion, and connection.

To add a name, simply select the “Give in honor/memory” option during checkout and enter your loved one’s name.

Your gift not only honors someone special, it helps build a future where more individuals and families can find hope and healing.

Where Hope Becomes Health

For 63 years, ABC Recovery Center has served as the Coachella and Imperial Valleys' cornerstone for addiction treatment and recovery. As the oldest program of its kind in the region, we have dedicated ourselves to treating the whole person — providing a lifeline for the underserved, the homeless, and families in crisis.

Today, we stand at the threshold of our most significant milestone yet.

The Challenge: The "Final Mile"

Through a transformative $27 million state grant, we are nearing completion of a massive campus expansion. This project added seven new buildings totaling 44,400 square feet, effectively doubling our capacity to serve those in need.

However, the state funding was designated for construction only. To open these doors and begin saving lives, we must furnish and equip every square inch — from the 60 residential bedrooms and 120 recovery beds to the commercial kitchen, clinical therapy rooms, and wellness center.

Why Furnishings Matter

Recovery begins with dignity. Research shows that safe, comfortable environments significantly improve treatment outcomes. A bed isn't just furniture — it's the first night of rest after years of chaos. A dining table isn't just a place to eat — it's where community forms and healing conversations happen. Every item in our facility plays a role in someone's journey from addiction to recovery.

How You Can Help

Campaign Duration: February 1 – December 31, 2026 | Year 1 Goal: $500,000

Our Building Hope campaign is designed to be as tangible as the impact it creates. We are raising at least $500,000 this year to transform these empty buildings into healing environments.

Dedicate an Honor Wall Nameplate ($250): Honor or remember a loved one who has faced the challenges of addiction with a permanent nameplate on our Digital Donor Wall. At checkout, check the "Give in honor/memory"box, select "Honor" or "Memory," and enter their name.
Sponsor a Recovery Bed ($2,500): Provide the foundation for someone's first night of sobriety.
Furnish a Residential Room ($5,000): Create a dignified, safe space for a resident to rebuild their life.
Equip Clinical & Wellness Spaces: Fund the therapy chairs, dining tables, and fitness equipment that facilitate daily breakthroughs.

By helping us reach this goal, you are helping ABC Recovery Center serve 1,760 additional individuals every year. Your gift ensures that no one in the Coachella or Imperial Valleys has to face the journey of recovery alone.

Every fundraiser receives a personal or team fundraising page with their story, a custom link to share via email, text, or social media, automatic donation tracking and credit, recognition on our public campaign leaderboard, and a special branded thank-you gift from ABC upon the successful completion of their goal.

This changes everything about naming opportunities. Traditionally, a $5,000 Recovery Bedroom naming required one generous donor. Now, 10 friends can raise $500 each. A church congregation can rally together. A family can honor their loved one's recovery collectively.

The State built the structures. Together, we make them sanctuaries — one contribution, one community, one team at a time.
