America On Trial Inc. (AOT) is a grassroots movement rooted in liberation, committed to redefining the deep harms of mass incarceration, police violence, and systemic injustice. Through advocacy, education, and community-driven economic opportunities, we build pathways toward healing, freedom, and transformative justice.

Our work centers in two initiatives:

The #AIRS Campaign (Abolish Incarcerated Reality Shows) challenges the exploitation of incarcerated people and their families for entertainment and profit. Shows like 60 Days In—marketed as “social experiments”—dehumanize and normalize mass incarceration. Backed by 23 grassroots organizations and active across 29 states, #AIRS calls for abolishing exploitative programming and creating ethical media standards that center consent, dignity, truth, and equitable compensation, advancing decarceration and narrative change.

AOT Liberty Freedom Farm is a land-based intervention rooted in practical liberation, situated on 1.047 acres in Greene, NY. Designed as a reentry pathway grounded in agroecology, food sovereignty, and workforce training, the farm redefines freedom through land stewardship, economic self-determination, and collective care. It is the first farm in the United States founded, centered, and led by a formerly incarcerated Executive Director—and the first Filipina woman to own and steward land in this way. Created by and for system-impacted people, it is a healing environment where justice takes root and community transformation becomes possible.This spring, we completed a full land survey and launched the first phase of development, establishing the groundwork for a replicable, trauma-informed model of reintegration and land justice that can be expanded across communities.
