Joy of Music features small group student ensembles in performance between 5:30-8:00 PM, delicious food from Taqueria El Yaqui food truck, a silent auction, a 50/50 drawing, AND a spirited cake auction... Bring cash, a checkbook, or a credit card - You don't want to miss out! Tickets are just $25 for adults, and $10 for students (elementary, middle, and high school - kids younger than Kinder are free) and include entrance AND dinner; tickets are purchased at the door. This event is what keeps the Basalt Band program alive. Maintaining an active instrumental program is expensive. Because our school district is not able to provide all the necessary funds, we turn to YOU and our supportive Basalt community to make it happen. This one event funds over 90% of our working budget for the following year for music, teaching assistants, instrument purchase and repair, travel costs, student rewards, uniforms, and classroom supplies... You name it!
