Since 1979, Domestic Abuse Project (DAP) has been a leader in pioneering effective responses to violence by addressing the intergenerational cycle that perpetuates the domestic abuse epidemic. Simply put: DAP offers life-changing therapy and supportive services to every member in a family impacted by violence.

Without interventions like ours, a child exposed to abuse is ten times more likely to abuse a partner or more than six times as likely to be abused in adulthood, as compared to a child who grows up in safety. And left untreated, the cycle of violence doesn't merely repeat - it expands, putting whole communities at risk of mass violence.

But with your help, we can build communities free from violence.

Last year alone, our nimble team delivered 13,583 services - from trauma therapy for victim survivors, to restorative child therapy, to intervention and prevention therapy for those who do harm. And DAP's wrap-around model means each family we serve in our counseling programs also has access to the help of advocates and case managers, ensuring their safety and basic needs are met - and making long-term stability more possible.

None of this is possible without you. Especially now, with new federal funding restrictions and budget shortages that threaten our work.
