Our mission at Emerald M Therapeutic Riding Center is Hope, Renewal, and Growth, the meaning of the emerald gemstone.

Using equine-assisted therapies, we strive to bring hope into the lives of the people we serve, provide them with a renewed sense of self, and give them an opportunity for growth.

Emerald M provides services to children aged 2-18 who may be in the foster system, recently been adopted, in the throes of cancer treatments, or recovering from those demanding treatments, battling debilitating physical conditions, coping with physical or emotional trauma, experiencing social, emotional, and learning challenges, or the child of an active-duty member of the military or veteran. Ultimately, they are children, many without a voice.

We currently serve children from nine surrounding counties.

At Emerald M, we seek to address the misconception that children with unique abilities are unable to contribute to society, that children in the foster system are broken, and that instead of being an asset, research points to them being a statistic. We provide a space where they are not judged, where they feel safe, where their strengths are enhanced, and where they feel confident. We meet our participants, their families, and caregivers where they are and give them the tools to rise above their circumstances, recognize their capabilities, and find their purpose.
