The Path is a non-profit organization housed in Estancia, New Mexico. The Path is more than a place ... It is a spiritual sanctuary, a place of prayer, a place for ceremony, a place for hope.

We all have our own spiritual path. Our spiritual paths are very personal, regardless of what you believe in when it comes to everything else in life. Following your spiritual journey could be searching for something that makes you feel complete. That is why Grandmother Flordemayo founded The Path.

To be on a spiritual path means to live mindfully, paying attention to the signs along the road & being conscious of our mind, body, soul, & spirit. It means to look inward as often as outward, knowing that the externals of our lives are reflections of our thoughts & words, manifestations which we are imagining & energizing into being with the fuel of our passion.

These sacred sites serve as places for ceremony, celebrations, group teachings, & beautiful reminders of our deep connection with Mother Earth. One of Grandmother Flordemayo's greatest missions in life was tge creation of The Seed Temple. The purpose of the Seed Temple is to preserve, propagate, & protect seeds of heritage, heirloom or endangered crop species & varieties for future generations. In the spirit of community service, these seeds will be shared so families can benefit from their goodness!

The mission of The Path is to conserve & distribute seeds to our communities & for future generations. This is met through seed conservation, education, & collaboration with other organizations.

Seed banks help preserve plant diversity, which is crucial for food security, medicine, & ecosystem resilience. They play a vital role in maintaining a healthy & sustainable environment for all of us! The seeds in the collection have come from numerous donations of samples of traditional varieties of corn, beans, squash, grains, vegetables, & herbs. The Seed Temple is designed as a controlled environment that protects the viability of the seeds stored. Working to preserve these seeds gives us a sense of purpose & unity, & fosters the relationships in community, which are our true wealth.

The Path Inc is a Tax-exempt 501(c)(3) & all donations, contributions & membership fees are TAX-DEDUCTIBLE!

Now more than ever it is important that we protect & increase our heritage seeds for the future, & for our communities. Much of the diversity of seeds is being lost as fewer people are planting the original seeds, as modern agriculture has turned to genetically modified & patented seeds to produce our crops.

Seed conservation is the practice of preserving & protecting plant seeds to maintain biodiversity. It's important because it helps ensure the availability of diverse & resilient plant species for future generations. By conserving seeds, we can safeguard agricultural crops, protect endangered plant species, & support ecosystem health. Saving heirloom seeds is important because they preserve genetic diversity & cultural heritage. By protecting the original seeds, we're also ensuring the availability of unique flavors, shapes, & colors in our fruits & veggies. Plus, these seeds have adapted to specific climates & conditions, making them more resilient. It's like keeping a piece of history alive in our gardens!

The strength of any ecosystem is its biodiversity. Diversity creates resilience in living systems. When a broad range of genetic diversity is present in a population of living beings, such as plants or animals, these populations are better able to withstand the pressures of climatic change, pests, diseases, or other challenges. The web of life is diverse, interdependent, & always adapting.

We know & recognize that all of us are currently going through unprecedented times on our planet, but we are making a call for help to those who can. The Path is on the brink of being shut down, & now more than ever we need the support of our beautiful friends, family, & community with Grandmother Flordemayo still healing from her multiple surgeries.
