Congregation Etz Chaim is proud to announce a special Concert in honor of the ordination of Rabbi Marcia Weinstein, a momentous milestone for both the congregation and the greater South Florida Jewish and LGBTQ+ communities.

The evening will feature an inspiring performance by Joe Buchanan, a Texas-born recording artist whose country music is deeply rooted in Torah. Buchanan’s unique blend of music, spirituality, and storytelling will create an experience filled with reflection, joy, and connection.

“This ordination is not just a personal milestone, but a reflection of what sacred community can look like when everyone is truly welcomed,” said Rabbi Marcia Weinstein. “Congregation Etz Chaim has always stood as a place of courage, compassion, and authenticity. To celebrate this moment through music, Shabbat, and community feels deeply meaningful and profoundly Jewish.”

This celebratory concert will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026 at The Gray Box Theater in Wilton Manors, bringing together community members, allies, and supporters to honor Rabbi Weinstein’s journey to the rabbinate while strengthening relationships throughout Greater Fort Lauderdale and beyond.
