Please join us for our Inaugural Founder's Day Black Tie Gala, presented by Smithfield Foods at the historic Fair Barn in Pinehurst on Saturday evening, April 13, 2024.

The Gala will be held at the Fair Barn, one of Pinehurst's most unique event venues, and will bring together over 200 community members, military leaders, Veterans, and their families. Guests will be treated to a three course, plated dinner prepared by Chef George of Pinehurst's Tartare restaurant. The evening will include an address from a distinguished leader: retired four-star General and former FORSCOM Commander, Michael X. Garrett, a string ensemble from the Moore Philharmonic Orchestra, a heartfelt testimonial from a recipient of services from MMIA, special recognition of lifetime supporters, and an one-of-a-kind silent auction.

Resources raised from our Gala will allow us to continue to meet the rising need in the Veterans community. We completed 40 home modification projects while also delivering home furnishings to 120 Veterans and their families across North Carolina. Stated differently, both the demand for our services--requests were up 106% last year--and the cost of delivering those services are up--$1,089.66 per ramp build and $1,714.25 per furniture delivery--while monetary donations as well as donations of household furnishings have slipped. Our Veterans and their families need your support now more than ever.

Please know that we proudly send 90% of all donations directly to support our programming.

Individual tickets are $125 and a pair of tickets are $200. Seating will be open, unless you purchase a table.

About Military Missions In Action

Founded in 2008, Military Missions In Action is a North Carolina founded and focused dedicated to assisting Veterans with disabilities, homeless Veterans and members of the Armed Forces, and their families through three main programs: Operation Building Hope, which provides creative home modification services and emergency repairs to ensure that Veterans and their family members with disabilities can live independently in their homes; Fill The Footlocker which provides support to forward deployed service members and military working dogs along with providing health and hygiene items, clothing, shoes, and blankets to unhoused Veterans; and Homes For Healing which provides new and gently used household furnishings to assist Veterans, active-duty service members, those Veterans who were recently unhoused, and their family members in establishing housing stability.

Military Missions In Action is a registered 501(c)3 organization and a Gold GuideStar nonprofit Headquartered in Fuquay-Varina, NC with an additional location in the Southern Pines area, which provides services for all 100 counties in the state.
