Please join us for our 3rd Annual Founder's Day Black Tie Gala in Pinehurst on Saturday evening, March 14, 2026 This is a special night of camaraderie, great food, drinks, and dancing all for a great cause.

The Gala will be held at the Fair Barn, one of Pinehurst's most unique event venues, and will bring together over 300 community members, military leaders, Veterans, and their families. Last year we raised $42,782.78!

Funds raised through our Gala will enable us to continue meeting the rapidly growing needs of Veterans and their families. In the past year alone, we completed over 30 critical home-modification projects and provided home furnishings to more than 100 Veterans across North Carolina. Demand for our services has surged—requests have increased by 76%—while the cost to deliver those services has also risen, averaging $1,089.66 per ramp build and $1,714.25 per furniture delivery. At the same time, both financial contributions and donated household furnishings have declined. Now more than ever, our Veterans and their families need your support.

Menu Information

The evening will feature a menu prepared and served by the award winning Elliots On Linden and include the following:

Passed Appetizers
Vegetable Spring Rolls with sweet chili dipping sauce
BLT Waffles which will include cheese waffle, bacon, tomato, romaine and mayo

Plated Salad
Seasonal Spring Salad consisting of arugula, salad mix, strawberries, candid pecans, goat cheese and sliced radishes. maple and poppy seed vinaigrette

Plated Entree Options
Chicken Breast Wrapped in Prosciutto and Seared NY Strip topped with chasseur sauce mushrooms, tomatoes, tarragon, white wine and demi glace sauce. Also included with this option is olive oil and roasted garlic mashed potatoes along with steamed asparagus and carrots. Note: this option will appear as "Chicken and Beef" when you purchase your tickets.

Butternut squash and white bean cottage pie with parsnip mash potatoes. Note: this option will appear as "Vegetarian" when you purchase your tickets.

Lodging

Thanks to the amazing folks at Homewood Suites in Pinehurst, we've secured a limited number of rooms for a reduced rate of $124 per night for the evening of Saturday March 14, 2026.

To secure your room at this rate, please call Homewood Suites Pinehurst at 910-255-0300 and ask for the MMIA Room Block. The rooms will only be held until 3/13/26.

The property is less than three miles from The Fair Barn and offers complementary shuttle service to and from the event. Be sure to ask about the shuttle when reserving your room.

Sponsorship

Thanks to generous donors our past two events raised over $80,000 which allowed us to deliver nearly 500 beds to formerly homeless veterans! This year our goal is to raise $50,000. Sponsorships range from $10,000 to purchasing a table for eight guests at $1,500.

About Military Missions In Action

Founded in 2008, Military Missions In Action is a North Carolina founded and focused dedicated to assisting Veterans with disabilities, homeless Veterans and members of the Armed Forces, and their families through three main programs: Operation Building Hope, which provides creative home modification services and emergency repairs to ensure that Veterans and their family members with disabilities can live independently in their homes; Fill The Footlocker assists North Carolina homeless Veterans with health and hygiene items, snacks, and blankets; Homes For Healing which provides new and gently used household furnishings to assist Veterans, active-duty service members, those Veterans who were recently unhoused, and their family members in establishing housing stability; and Warrior Wagon, a ride share service that provides free transportation to and from appointments, the grocery store, and the pharmacy.
