The 3rd Annual Festival of Unfinished Work

Bramble Theatre Company's third annual Festival of Unfinished Work features six (6) short scenes from original full-length plays currently in process, written by Chicago-based playwrights. During the Festival, the audience will have the opportunity to vote on which pieces they are most interested in seeing developed further. This voting process will impact which pieces will be given a workshop and public staged reading by Bramble at a future date.

Our third annual Festival will feature six (6) short scenes from original full-length plays currently in process, written by Chicago-based playwrights. This year’s festival will feature work by Alexander Attea, Zach Barr, Evalena Lakin, Ben F. Locke*, Karissa Murrell Myers*, and Skyler Tarnas.

About Bramble

Our journey as an ensemble began in June 2019 at the School at Steppenwolf. We officially launched in Feb 2021 as Bramble Theatre Company.

We chose the humble bramble bush because of its beautiful duality: the thorn challenges while the fruit nurtures. Made of many tangled vines, it remains a single united organism.

We are an ensemble of multicultural artists who tell new stories that embrace this philosophy. With our work, we seek to ignite empathy, defy the status quo, and provide nourishment for the soul. ✨
