When I first learned about MaxLove Project, I realized they were a right fit for me because I’ve always wanted to give back directly to others and actually be able to connect and get to know the families in need. MLP is the only charity I know that actually connects you directly to the people you’re helping. MLP uses multiple platforms to bring donors, volunteers, and those in need together for local events, website content, cookbooks, direct care, direct funding, social media exposure and many other resources. This multi-faceted, transparent approach is very unique in this day and age of mostly virtual connections. This was the reason I became an avid supporter of MaxLove Project nearly a decade ago, because it was evident to see how great a fit and wonderful organization this was for me to be a part of.
In 2014, I was presented with an opportunity to align Electric City Butcher’s highly regarded locally sourced protein requirements with MaxLove Project’s Bone Broth program using nutrient dense broth that was the most ideal option to help immune-compromised children get back on their feet while pushing to thrive through their cancer treatment. I knew we could really help make a positive impact to all thrivers and more. Then, I learned there were more ways to help than just our bone broth partnership and I immediately committed myself, my chef abilities, and my support to MLP year after year without hesitation.
MaxLove Project is important to me because I know that with my direct effort and support, I am giving back directly to families that have real needs and I’m able to aid them in providing a path to their wellness. I can truly see exactly where my efforts are going toward, knowing that I am helping families right here in my very own community.
