Every August, everyone is invited to come together in Greenfield, MA to share a bountiful harvest with our community. Farmers, local producers of goods, and talented chefs all offer their time and products to create an amazing meal served on the Town Common.

Stone Soup Café's Annual Harvest Supper Celebration is a highly anticipated event that brings together the Greenfield community in a joyous and bountiful gathering on the Town Commons. This event is a true celebration of the region's local harvest and culinary delights.

Good Food

At this event, Stone Soup Café showcases the abundance of seasonal produce sourced from local farms and artisans. Attendees can expect a delectable feast crafted with love and creativity, featuring dishes that highlight the freshest and finest ingredients that the region has to offer. This food is prepared by volunteers and Stone Soup staff and made available to all who come on a pay-what-you-can basis.

Good Community

Beyond culinary delights, the Harvest Supper is a time of coming together and fostering a sense of community. To carry out this event, 100 volunteers are involved in sourcing, preparing, serving, and transporting the food that's served at the Harvest Supper where friends, families, and neighbors gather to share in the joy of good food and good company. The event serves as a reminder of Stone Soup's commitment to promoting food security and inclusivity, as the Harvest Supper is open to all, regardless of means. The community spirit is further strengthened by the live music performances and other festivities that take place during the event including a free Farmers Market.

Stone Soup Café's Annual Harvest Supper Celebration is a heartwarming and delightful tradition that began back in 2005 with Juanita Nelson and it continues to showcase the best of Greenfield's local harvest while fostering a strong sense of community. It is an occasion where the love for food, the appreciation for local farmers and producers, and the dedication to creating a more equitable world all come together in one unforgettable evening of celebration.

Fun Fundraiser!

The Harvest Supper also serves as a fundraising event to support the Stone Soup Café's mission of providing weekly nutritious meals to those in need. The proceeds from the event go towards sustaining the café's "pay-what-you-can" model, ensuring that everyone can access wholesome food, regardless of their financial situation.

This year we are also hosting an Art Auction to raise additional funds for Stone Soup Café's operating budget. Thank you to the numerous local artists who have donated their artwork for Stone Soup! You can place your bids starting mid-August! Click here!

Your donations will benefit over 30 local farms, 100 diverse Greenfield community volunteers, and 1,000 guests who will attend the event and enjoy a delicious, scratch-cooked feast prepared with local ingredients on a pay-what-you-can basis.
