A child in crisis needs support from a community they belong to and cannot reach; a community who understands how critical it is for queer kids to be raised in homes where their identity is not only respected - but celebrated!

The kid is has been living in an emotionally damaging and isolating environment, cut off from supportive community, and recently institutionalized. This action is against the wishes of the youth, their non-custodial parent, and faculty from their school.

Their family has endured years of physical & psychological abuse, including (but not limited to):

- Repeated disruptions to parenting time, schooling, mental health care, and necessary specialists

- Intentional isolation from supportive adults

- False narratives undermining the trust child has in the non-custodial parent

- Habitual dead-naming and misgendering of the trans parent in front of the nonbinary child

- Child forced to detransition by custodial parent

- Overmedication without proper long-term care

- Medical neglect related to Ehler's Danlos, Dysautonomia, and comorbidities

Proving that parental alienation is happening is not an easy feat.

There has already been a prior substantiated history of abuse in this custody arrangement, and current circumstances are escalating rapidly. Although the custodial parent is abusive, he did all the classes to stay in the role of primary custodian after a founded disposition of child abuse in 2018. So, I guess everything is fine now... /s

--REALITY CHECK--

The child who has been institutionalized is not violent at school. There have been no recent outbursts while volunteering at community events. There has been no sign of aggressive behavior in any setting where the custodial parent is not present.

Right now, legal intervention via private attorney is the only remaining way to protect this kid’s well-being.

This fundraiser will support:

- Immediate legal fees for filings, expert witness fees, and travel costs related to appearing in court

- Professional support for safe reunification between the child and the animals they love

- Safety upgrades for the home, as determined by crisis team

- Long-term planning to prevent re-traumatization

The child is deeply loved.

The parent is ready.

The time is NOW.
