For nearly five decades, TESSA has been a lifeline for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking in the Pikes Peak region. Every day, individuals and families turn to TESSA during some of the most difficult moments of their lives—seeking safety, guidance, and a way forward.

TESSA provides a comprehensive network of services designed to meet survivors where they are. From our 24/7 SafeLine and advocacy services to emergency shelter, housing support, legal assistance, counseling, and prevention education, our work centers on restoring safety, dignity, and choice. Survivors are never required to follow a single path; instead, they are supported in making the decisions that are right for them.

Each year, TESSA serves more than 17,000 individuals across El Paso, Teller, and Douglas Counties. Advocates answer thousands of calls for help, families find refuge in our Safehouse, survivors access legal protections, and children receive critical social-emotional support. Our prevention and education programs also reach nearly 10,000 students annually, helping young people build healthy relationships and safer communities.
