Carry the Work is our year-end giving campaign supporting LCHT’s mission to end sex and labor exploitation in Colorado. Every gift strengthens the programs that connect survivors to help, train professionals to respond, equip new leaders, and advance research that drives change.

This Colorado Gives Day event highlights one piece of that mission: expanding training and youth prevention. On December 9th, your presence and support will help more young people, educators, and community members gain the tools they need to recognize and stop exploitation before it starts. Together, we’ll carry the work forward.

👋 Meet Our Special Guests

Josie Heyano

Josie Heyano is a Deg Xinag Athabascan woman from Alaska, a clinical social worker, and a nationally recognized leader in anti-trafficking and MMIR (Missing and Murdered Indigenous Relatives) advocacy. As founder of Signify Consulting, Josie blends modern therapy with Indigenous healing practices rooted in land, storytelling, and community. Her work—including the Alaska MMIP and Human Trafficking Data Summit—centers on justice for Indigenous women and survivors. A former U.S. Advisory Council member, Josie’s voice bridges lived experience and policy expertise to drive systems change and healing.

iyanla

iyanla (pronounced: yawn-luh) is a Denver-based creative who blends poetry, R&B, neo-soul, and jazz into a signature sound that is both timeless and contemporary. Her live performances are immersive and healing—rooted in themes of liberation, reflection, and connection. A recent Colorado College graduate with a degree in music, iyanla plans to pursue a Master’s in music therapy while continuing to explore the power of music as a tool for collective care. Her work invites listeners to be more than an audience—to be part of something shared.
