Since 1980, Meals on Wheels Lexington County, a program of the Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission, has been providing nutritious meals directly to seniors throughout Lexington County.

Our nutrition program is dedicated to improving the overall health and independence of older adults, key factors that help delay or even prevent early institutionalization. Beyond nutrition, Meals on Wheels is a powerful social movement across the nation. Here in Lexington County, our program helps homebound seniors combat loneliness and social isolation. The friendly visits and caring connections provided by our staff and volunteers foster companionship and emotional well-being, essential components of healthy aging.
