Madison Rose co-founder, Gina Pistorio, is a survivor of both breast cancer and brain tumors. But last spring, her youngest sister, Noel, was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer — and suddenly, our mission carried a new urgency.

This disease doesn’t knock politely. It barges in. And when it does, we fight back with community, purpose, and action.

1 in 8 women will face breast cancer. We’ve seen up close how isolating, exhausting, and relentless that journey can be. But we’ve also seen the profound healing power of nature. Getting outside. Wading into cold water. Finding stillness again. That’s what helped our family begin to heal.

Casting for Recovery (CFR) is a nonprofit that provides free, life-changing retreats for women affected by breast cancer. These weekends center around fly fishing — but really, they’re about so much more: stepping away from the noise, reconnecting with yourself, and finding community among women who understand.
