Understanding The Need for Change:

Our mission at Moustaches for Kids is to change the way that men perceive charity, service and what it means to give back to our community - One 'Stache at a time.

We built the understanding that men, for the most part, left charitable acts to their significant other. While their wife, girlfriend or partner gave their Saturday morning to the local church or community event, the man stayed on the couch. By creating a program and an environment centered around the "average man", Moustaches for Kids found a way to inspire men, of all ages, to give back. We've partnered with local bars and breweries to create events that are inviting to the men. While we are amazed and humbled by the work we do for the kids, we believe our strongest contribution to the community is the work we're doing with men.

The beauty of Moustaches for Kids, and why local charities have rallied for us, is that we are working with "new found money". Most of our growers, prior to signing up, never gave their time or money to charity. Today? We have growers who raise over $10,000 each in 30 days - Every year. Our average grower raises over $2,000 each season.

What Makes Us Different?

Moustaches for Kids is a fully volunteer driven and operated 501(c)(3). The work we do for our organization is completely fueled by our passion for change. Individuals and corporations who have supported us have bought into our vision and mission, and understand that their gifts go directly into expanding our efforts. As an organization we take great pride in being volunteer operated, and do not see this changing in the near future.

How Will Funding be Utilized?

We are constantly reminded that when we focus on making events fun for the growers, we see a more active and dedicated group of men. As a 501(c)(3), our focus is to continue to grow and expand our events. Because of the strictly volunteer mindset, we have to continue to motivate growers and incentivize the participation in our weekly events. If we look at a quick 10 year plan, our vision to have well over 500 active growers each season, raising close to a million dollars in a 30 day period.

What Does Growth Look Like?

Aside from expanding our "In Season" efforts and participation, Moustaches for Kids is now working throughout the year to create change. We understand that by creating events year round, not only will we continue to make a difference in the community, but we will also improve our grower retention by building a like-minded community. This year, M4K has committed to an annual fishing trip with underprivileged kids, a back-to-school resource drive, a skateboard buildout and a holiday toy drive.
