Featured artist, Jon James has been living with chronic Lyme disease for over 12 years, navigating a journey marked by immense challenges and perseverance. His connection with the Global Lyme Alliance (GLA) began in an unexpected yet meaningful way. Staci Grodin, one of GLA’s founding board members, became a collector of Jon's artwork, unaware of his own battle with Lyme disease. When she eventually learned of his condition, Staci reached out to him, and their conversations became a source of comfort and guidance. Her support and encouragement led Jon to GLA, a pivotal moment in his journey with Lyme.

As a way to express his gratitude to Staci and GLA for their unwavering support, Jon was inspired to create this exhibition. However, the path to realizing this vision was not without obstacles. Jon faced multiple setbacks due to Lyme disease relapses and ongoing symptoms, which delayed the exhibition for several years. Despite these challenges, Jon is now excited to announce that the exhibition will finally open on October 8th, just one day before GLA’s annual gala. Jon also invites fellow artists to contribute to a silent auction to help raise more funds and awareness for Global lyme Alliance. This event represents not only his artistic expression but also his resilience and the strength of the community that has supported him throughout his journey.
