Every bid goes to building a more sustainable future where every keiki has the school supplies, enrichments, clothing they need to thrive while reducing quality items going to the landfill.

Started in 2016 by three moms with around 6 families attending in the park we have grown to serve over 500 families annually. From one event a month to include multiple mobile events in all areas of Maui county. Diverting around 1,000 lbs of items from the landfill each month, creating safe space for families to bring what they no longer need, and get what they do. Exchange ideas, resources, goods, and more every month. Read on to hear about all our programs.

Ohana Keiki Exchange is our flagship event at Kihei Lutheran and has all our options in one locations for families with keiki 18 and under in the home. We have clothing for all ages, sizes, genders and styles from birth to 5xl mens, enrichments like toys, games, books, school supplies and more, plus baby consumables like formula, diapers, bottles, pumps, highchairs, and more, plus hygiene products for the entire family. This is our largest event and serves 70-85 households per month (around 150 keiki every month).

Maui 'Ohana Sports Equipment Exchange focuses on sporting equipment. This is a mobile event that goes to local sports leagues to set up and make sure the keiki have what they need to succeed at sports of all kinds. This includes, but not limited to, cleats, sport specific clothing, socks, balls, helmets, sport specific shoes (dance, biking etc), water sports equipment and more.

Maui Mobile Enrichments Exchange takes the books, games, puzzles, costumes to local events like Twin Falls Kama'aina days, or Lahaina events for families to take new to them items home. Allowing keiki to explore the world around them in new ways, create new art, read new to them books, or find a new favorite friend in the stuffed animal area.

'Ohana Strong Mobile Exchange takes clothing and enrichments to events as requested anywhere in Maui. What we take varies based on what is requested where we are going.

Running a great event like these brings us joy, but isn't without costs. The money raised will help pay our one and only employee, costs of running a mobile event including but not limited to insurance required to operate, gas and maintenance on the van and trailer, keep our website active, annual volunteer thank you, and other expenses.
