#AAJA25 is taking place in Seattle, WA, on July 30-August 3, 2025, at the Sheraton Grand Seattle. The convention is an opportunity to engage with numerous on-the-ground community issues and bring them to the newsroom. With its rich AAPI culture, cuisine, and history, Seattle has a strong AAPI community infrastructure that has been the cornerstone of movement building. We are also celebrating the 40th anniversary of AAJA’s trailblazing Seattle chapter.

This year’s convention theme is: Forging Our Legacies, Navigating the Future. The theme stands as a reminder that our members are the leaders who are producing the groundbreaking journalism that is keeping an ever-changing industry vibrant and vital to the public. Even as our industry faces countless pressures, our members are the ones who are creating their own legacies: they are leading the newsrooms that are holding power to account, uncovering the essential stories that spark change and set agendas, and evolving the way we deliver content to a public that needs journalism more than ever.

Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Asian American Journalists Association.
