About RISE:

Created by a group of individuals passionate about serving refugees and immigrants, Worcester RISE for Health is the product of many organizations coming together to re-envision care for new arrivals.

Newly arriving refugees often have language and cultural barriers, come from backgrounds of substantial trauma, and were outright denied adequate healthcare in their countries of origin because of their gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, poverty, and more.

These families and individuals are coming from different health systems and struggle navigating healthcare in the US; they are often not familiar with appointment systems, refills, referrals, and might not have had access to preventive care, chronic disease management, or continuity of care.

Together we are building a different approach based on community engagement, empowerment and collaboration which is centered on the needs of this unique population.
