This year has been one of growth and poetic fellowship at the Ruth Stone House. Together, we have brought Ruth’s legacy forward—transforming her historic home into a vibrant gathering place for writers, artists, and neighbors.

In 2025, we have already:

✨ Hosted a half-dozen Beer and Broadsides events at the Ruth Stone House, free and open to the public, bringing community, printmaking, and a poetry salon to the Green Mountains!

✨ Welcomed writers into in-person classes at the house, featuring generative workshops on memory and lists!

✨ Completed major renovations—a fully renewed kitchen, bedrooms, and classroom/dining room—allowing one of our biggest dreams to become real, which was that we...

✨ Held our first-ever week-long retreat at the Ruth Stone House itself, The Poetics of Nothing, where Bianca Stone and Mathias Svalina guided a dozen writers into the abyss and beyond!

These milestones were only possible because of you—our community of supporters who believe in small-scale, intensive poetry programming and the importance of a historic, literary home in Vermont.

Now, as we look toward the future, we invite you to join us again. The funds raised through this campaign will sustain future programming and retreats, and cover the operational costs that keep the lights on, the doors open, and the poetry flowing.
