About Seahawks Sports Association (SSA)

Seahawks Sports Association (SSA) is a community-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving families in Gig Harbor, Gig Harbor North, and the greater Key Peninsula. SSA exists to unify, strengthen, and support Seahawk-aligned youth athletics connected to Peninsula High School and the broader Peninsula community.

What Is SSA?

SSA is the home of Unified Seahawks athletics in the Peninsula High School area. We:

Support youth and feeder programs aligned with Peninsula High School
Create clear developmental pathways from first-time athletes to PHS Seahawks
Keep sports affordable through shared resources, scholarships, and community fundraising
Promote our core values of Unity, Grit, and Seahawk Pride

We connect youth, feeder, and club programs so children can learn, compete, and belong from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Why SSA?

SSA was created because families in our community asked for:

One unified home for Seahawk-aligned youth sports
Clear communication and less confusion across leagues
Fair access for kids from Gig Harbor North and the Key Peninsula
A place where no athlete is left out because of cost

SSA exists to answer that call.

We are not here to replace anyone — we are here to bring people together. By aligning programs, sharing resources, and strengthening communication, we reduce barriers and increase opportunity for every child who wants to wear Seahawk colors.

Current Programs Under SSA

Seahawks Sports Association currently oversees:

Seahawks Youth Football
A development-focused football program serving athletes across elementary and middle school grades. As the Peninsula High School Booster's recognized feeder program, Youth Football emphasizes safety, fundamentals, leadership development, and competitive growth while maintaining affordability through fundraising and scholarships.

Seahawks Youth Cheer
A structured and inclusive cheer program that supports Seahawk athletics while developing confidence, teamwork, athletic skill, and school spirit. Youth Cheer provides clear pathways into Peninsula High School cheer programs and emphasizes accessibility so every child has the opportunity to participate.
