Kona Dance & Performing Arts is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in March 2016 by a passionate group of families determined to fill a creative void in their community. With a shared vision and commitment, we established our studio in the heart of South Kona and began our mission to provide accessible dance and performing arts opportunities in our studio in the heart of Kealakekua.

We believe that arts education is not a luxury—it is essential for nurturing the mind, body, and spirit of every individual.

Today, our dedicated team includes highly trained professionals from Hawai‘i and beyond, offering a wide range of classes for both youth and adults. What started with a small circle of enthusiastic students has grown into a vibrant community of over 200 participants during peak seasons. We are proud to be an inclusive and diverse organization, offering instruction in Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Breaking, Musical Theatre, and more.
