The Splinter Solstice Gayyyyla: Fire and Light Amplifying the Night

While the winter solstice isn’t the coldest night of the year, it the longest, and darkest night of Winter. It makes us question our faith - faith in ourselves, in the choices we’ve made and in the future to come. 2024 has been a ROUGH year for us, with a lot of growth, honoring grief and anger, and tearing things down to the foundations to build something new, and hopefully, better. In uncertain times, joy and celebration are antidotes. Spells to cast into the coming year and web of shared hope to weave together.

So call back the sun with us, and enjoy a night of performance, ritual & community gathered around the fire, featuring an eclectic group of inspiring artists, a custom cocktail menu, a silent auction and raffle, followed by a dance party for the ages.

Our headliner is the one and only Bobby Sanchez!

Bobby Sanchez (she/they) is a 29 year old poet, musician, model, painter, and personal trainer. Bobby identifies as trans as well as two-spirit in honor of her indigenous ancestry. Her music and artwork cover topics of indigenous identity, environmental issues, LGBTQ+ discrimination and liberation on all fronts.

Some of her biggest accomplishments have been participating at the 2018 National Poetry Slam in Chicago, Performing at 2023 NYC Pride 2024 Oakland Pride & Tulsa Pride, featuring in The July 2024 Issue of National Geographic, and releasing 8 EPs since March 2021.

Her fierce music and stage presence will remind you that among many other things, it’s hot as hell to be liberated from the gender binary!

As always we’ll have fire dancers from the Cirque Collective and we’ll close out the night dancing to an amazing set by Menopause the DJ and other other special guests.

Ticket and Dinner Details: All tickets include a special gift and access to the performances, cozy areas, selfie booth, a raffle ticket, family area and more.

Dinner tickets: are a separate price so that we can both predict how many folks want food, and offer lots of accessible entrance tickets. (Consider us the spirit airlines of gala's. A la carte baby!) Dinner can be purchased on site for $25 or in advance for $20. Dinner will be an open, family style buffet with a variety of healthy, build your own options. Primarily vegan and gluten free, with gluten, meat, and dairy options. From various local vendors and foodie friends. If dinner is not accessible for you, please reach out to us and we'll make arrangements!

Ticket levels:

$50: General for our beloveds who benefit from consistent work, stable housing and/or various social privileges.
$75: Sustaining for our beloveds who are able to save, own a home, have some generational benefit and/or social privileges and want to help subsidize tickets for others. Thank you!
$25: Community for our beloveds who are artists, activists, lower income, students, and others for whom the general level is not accessible
$10: Keep Loving Keep Fighting for our beloved QTBIPOC and Disabled folks and other folks who find themselves in the margins and/or without resources.
$0: Volunteer Ticket We have lots of little things we need help with before during and after the Gala! Includes a dinner ticket!
