At Sound of Speed, we'll celebrate hearing and recognize Lisa and Brian Kovacs with the Richard T. Miyamoto Heroes for Hearing Award.

Lisa and Brian Kovacs have made so many contributions to the field and to the children of SJI. Brian is a Senior Vice President and the Chief Information Officer for Walker Information, Indianapolis. He has served on the board of SJI for several years. Lisa is the Director of Programs for Hands & Voices, Headquarters and the founding parent of Indiana Hands & Voices. She is committed to ensuring children who are deaf or hard of hearing have the opportunity to reach their full potential and that their families get the support they need. The Kovacs journey began at SJI when their son, Anthony, was a student in one of our first Indianapolis classrooms.

Join us at the SILO Auto Club and Conservancy at 644 E Washington St, Indianapolis, IN 46204 from 6 to 8 pm to enjoy hors d'oeuvres, cocktails, and good friends. There will be a short award presentation as we acknowledge Lisa and Brian Kovacs for their amazing contributions and recognize them as true Heroes for Hearing.

The evening will be filled with fun and engaging activities like a 360-degree photo booth, racecar simulators and silent auction all in a one-of-a-kind setting you won’t find anywhere else in Indy! The SILO Auto Club and Conservancy has one of the area’s premier collections of luxury, classic, exotic, and muscle cars.

Funds raised at this event will benefit our programs for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families will have the support they need for their children to reach their full potential.
