Laugh for a Cause — Comedy Night for Volt Hockey

Join us for a night of laughter with award-winning clean comedian Rhonda Corey, whose Dry Bar Comedy special Wizard of Walmart gained wide attention and landed in Dry Bar’s Top 10 clips of the year. Rhonda has performed across the country at clubs, conferences, churches, women’s events, and fundraisers, and recently appeared at Zanies Comedy Club in Nashville as part of Nate Bargatze’s Nateland Live showcase.

All proceeds from this event support Space2Thrive’s Volt Hockey program. This life-changing adaptive team sport gives athletes with disabilities the chance to compete, build friendships, and be part of a team.

It has been an extraordinary year for the Rolling Warriors, Space2Thrive’s Volt Hockey team. They won Gold at the North American Championship in Toronto, traveled to Sweden for the World Cup, were featured on several news outlets including WPRI’s Street Stories, were invited onto the field by the Boston Red Sox, and were recognized at the Massachusetts State House by Senator Feeney and Representative Scanlon. The team also demonstrated Volt Hockey at Providence WaterFire, helping raise awareness about disability and adaptive sports in front of thousands of people.

This year, in place of our annual 5K, we invite you to bring your friends, enjoy a fun night out, and support a program that helps athletes with disabilities train, compete, and belong.

The evening will also feature a silent auction and a short Fund-A-Need opportunity to help keep the program rolling.
