About the Transgender Education Network of Texas

The Transgender Education Network of Texas is the largest statewide, BIPOC trans-led organization dedicated to furthering gender diverse equality in Texas. We work to accomplish trans justice through education, networking, and advocacy in both public and private forums.

In 2025, as trans people continue to face relentless attacks on their rights, trans organizations like TENT still only receive 4.6 cents for every $100 dollars donated to other LGBTQ+ nonprofits. Despite this, since 2017, TENT has partnered with community members and a wide range of local to national organizations to defeat to defeat over 90% of the almost 500 anti-LGBTQ+ bills filed in the state legislature since.
