Trauma Intervention Programs Inc. (TIP) is a national non-profit organization founded in 1985. Fifteen TIP affiliates serve over 300 communities across the nation. Empowered by comprehensive training, volunteers respond to calls from first responders and hospital personnel. They assist survivors of traumatic incidents during the first hours following a tragedy. Volunteers respond immediately 24/7 every day of the year.

TIP of Lane County was established in 2023 and serves Lane County and the cities of Eugene and Springfield. TIP volunteers are called by police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and hospital personnel to assist family members and friends following a natural or unexpected death; survivors of violent crime including rape, assault, robbery, or burglary; survivors of fire; disoriented or lonely elderly persons; people involved in motor vehicle accidents; people who are distraught and seeking immediate support; and survivors of suicide.
