The Scrap Paper Shakespeare company is partnering with the SCA group, Canton of Elvegast, to produce a historically informed production of Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew! This partnership is supporting historical accuracy, as best as we can, including putting the story of Taming of the Shrew in context of 16th-century European culture.

Funds raised will be directed towards historically accurate (as best we can) costumes and other production costs.

The show is part of the Elvegast annual spring event "Festival of Elvegast" https://the-festival-of-elvegast.windmastershill.org/

The show will start at 3:00 pm but the whole day will be immersive into 16th century Italian and English culture!

I am Lara Coutinho-Dean, in the SCA known as Dame Sophia the Orange, and I am running this fundraiser as a private individual, not as an official representative of the SCA or Scrap Paper Shakespeare. The funds raised here will go directly to me and I will give them to these organizations in support of this project.
