Bags of Hope was founded in 2021 after my own personal struggle with breast cancer. I wanted to let other women know that there was someone out there who cared about them and cared about what they were going through. I wanted them to know that they were not alone.

The bags are filled with uplifting messages of hope and love, as well as educational materials to support survivors on their journey. We include clean beauty products, and other items to brighten their day, make them happy, feel cared for, and bring a smile to their face.

Bags of Hope is also about creating an environment of support and love that connects survivors and the community. In 2024, we opened the Bags of Hope Center in order to create a space to achieve this goal. Volunteers come and pack bags to be mailed off, and members of the community and survivors work together on different projects throughout the year, building meaningful relationships.

Bags of Hope continues to grow each year! What started out as delivering bags to our local cancer center, has grown to mailing thousands of bags to survivors nationwide. The number of requests continues to increase year after year as people find out about us from doctors, cancer navigators, social media and on the web. Through generous donations and faithful volunteers, we’ve been able to meet the demand so far and continue to fulfill our mission to spread love, strength and hope to survivors both locally and across the nation.

We hold various fundraisers throughout the year. Our biggest event is the Annual Pancake Breakfast coming up in October. It’s a great way for people to come out, have some delicious pancakes, win raffle prizes, and show their support for survivors and the cancer community. We’re looking for sponsors, raffle items, and hungry people to show up for the event.
