On March 7 during my trip to Ukraine to deliver ambulances, medical supplies, clothing and other humanitarian aid, I visited the Visual Art Center in Kryvyi Rih, the seventh-largest city in Ukraine. It's in the eastern part of the country not far from the front lines, and thus has seen a steady flow of refugees and wounded soldiers. The Visual Art Center has been a lifeline for children, especially since the schools have been closed since the invasion more than 15 months ago.

I was blown away by the art the children made so, on the spot, I made a $10,000 cash donation to support and expand the Center and asked them to fill one of my large suitcases with all 92 pieces of art on the walls. I promised to bring them back to the United States and auction them off to raise additional money for the Center, flood relief, ambulances, and a wonderful charity, TAPS, that supports the families of fallen soldiers.
