What is The Valley Venture Fundraiser?

It’s a team‑based, interactive fundraising event designed to showcase the history, beauty and small businesses of the Northern Shenandoah Valley while having fun with friends. Teams follow clues, complete activities, and race to the finish while supporting a great cause.

Who can participate?

This event is open to most age levels, but at least one responsible adult must accompany each team. All activities are designed to be inclusive and approachable.

Do I need to be athletic or competitive?

Not at all! Challenges focus on teamwork, creativity, and problem‑solving rather than physical endurance. The emphasis is on fun, not speed.

How many people are on a team?

Teams consist of 2 or more participants.

How long does the event last?

Most teams complete the scavenger hunt within a few hours. Teams move at their own pace and choose how many of the challenges they will complete and in which areas. All teams should be finished in time to join the Finale Celebration, at the Warren County Senior Center at 8pm.

Where does the event take place?

Teams may choose where they wish to complete the Scavenger Hunt Challenges: Page, Shenandoah, Warren, Frederick or Clarke County, the City of Winchester, or any combination of the above, including all of the geographies.

What should I wear or bring?

Be prepared to walk. Comfortable clothing and shoes are recommended. Also, each team will need at least one smartphone to stay connected to the EventZee App, take pictures and videos, or otherwise complete challenges.

What if it rains or weather conditions are poor?

The event will proceed rain or shine unless conditions are unsafe. Participants will be notified in advance if any changes are necessary.
