For the second year in a row, Queers 4 Climate Justice is teaming up with Out for Sustainability and climate justice organizers from across the country to lead Queer Climate Justice programming at the LGBTQ+ National Task Force's Creating Change Conference!

This year's conference is happening from January 17-21st at the Hilton Hotel Riverside in New Orleans, and we want to make it clear to the LGBTQ+ movement at large that rolling into the Gulf South implores us to develop a climate justice consciousness. We aim to uplift the multitude of ways that environmental harm proliferates in queer & trans lives, and to shine a light on the bold climate justice organizing by queer and trans people across the region!

Once again, we are sponsoring a group of queer and trans activists from Puerto Rico to attend the conference to get access to the tools, training, and networks to continue to build queer resilience, fight for climate justice, and lead the organizing that they know first-hand their communities need.

We ask for in community support to help us remove financial barriers to accessing this historic queer movement space!

It costs approximately $1500 to bring one person from Puerto Rico to New Orleans for the duration of the conference. All funds raised through this art auction & shirt sale will go directly to meeting these needs for flights, housing, and food.

  - 12:30pm - Q4CJ solidarity action with Sunrise Movement New Orleans in protest against the Americas Energy Summit and the building of a new LNG export terminal. Meet at Ernest Morial Convention Center.
- Saturday, Jan 20th
  - 9am-11:00am - Queer Like Water
    - Gather along the Mississippi river with Jessica Dandridge of the Water Conservancy and Klie Kliebert of Imagine Water Works. Meet in front of Hilton Riverside to walk/roll/streetcar over to the Riverwalk Gazebo in Woldenberg Park.
  - 6:30pm onwards - Imagine Queer Futures!
    - Join Q4CJ for a fun night out at the ChewBacchus Sci-Fi parade in downtown New Orleans.
