Join Us for a Night Under the African Stars: A Fundraiser for Libraries for Kids Int’l
Our boardmember Jean-Marie is hard at work creating videos and visual content to transport you to Africa for the evening, creating a visual portal for us to take a look at what Library 4 Kids has been up to for the last several years, where we want to go, and how we have impacted Kenya.
The Founder of Books For Africa, our book partner is flying in on his own expense for the evening to speak to all of us and share his stories…. He has been impacting in this arena longer than the CEO of Libraries for Kids has been alive. We are all in for a very special treat on the 26th experiencing Tom’s stories.
For those of you who do not know Chef Bernard Bennett from Okàn in Bluffton - he is a James Beard Foundation, semi finalist, has been on many famous TV shows in the food world and is head chef at the Okàn restaurant downtown Bluffton. He is curating a beautiful menu for the evening for all of us to enjoy and be educating all of us about his creations the night of the event!
We have an open bar that Lowcountry Taps will be servicing for the evening. Our open bar will feature Tito’s Handmade Vodka cocktails, wines from Africa brought in by the Tacarón, and beer from Lot 9, and Service Breweries out of the Lowcountry.
We will have an online auction for everyone to attend - Even those who cannot make the event.
We will have a live auction at our event with very specific packages from travel, to private dinners, a brunch and bottomless mimosas package, Tito’s handmade vodka for a year, a two night stay at May River Manor, and MANY MORE!
Please join us for a wonderful evening of learning, impact, and incredible food!
