Time: Doors at 11 am, event 12-2 pm. Procession to the AMP: AIDS Memorial Pathway 2-3 pm.

Venue: The lovely Century Ballroom! 915 E Pine St, Seattle, WA 98122. Following the event, we will lead a procession through the AMP: AIDS Memorial Pathway

Ticket reservations are free. We ask that attendees make a $150 or larger donation to Seattle's LGBTQ+ Center at the event.

This event creates vital space to gather together, commemorate the impact of HIV/AIDS on our communities both past and present, celebrate the progress that has been made, and provide essential resources for ending the ongoing HIV/AIDS epidemic.

With the beautiful Century Ballroom as a backdrop and Aleksa Manila as the emcee, you will hear HIV research updates, find treasures at a silent auction and raffle, enjoy drag performances, and gather together in community as a reminder that in our work ending HIV/AIDS, we are always stronger together.

The event is a fundraiser for Seattle's LGBTQ+ Center, which provides crucial HIV prevention, education, support and care in the Seattle King County area and beyond. By supporting this event, you will be supporting the largest community HIV testing organization in King County, physical space for art and remembrance of the AIDS crisis via the AMP: AIDS Memorial Pathway, affirming youth programs, and so much more.

Over thirty years ago the first cases of HIV garnered the world’s attention. Since then, more than 700,000 Americans have lost their lives to AIDS and more than 36,000 people in the US become infected with HIV each year. Currently, there are more than 1.2 million Americans living with HIV, and almost half of all Americans know someone living with HIV. In Washington State alone, there are an estimated 14,000 people living with HIV/AIDS, over half of whom live in King County. The HIV/AIDS epidemic is far from over, and this event provides a powerful way for you to make a difference.

About the Host and Entertainment:

Aleksa Manila: Aleksa Manila made her dazzling debut on All Hallow's Eve in 1998, transforming Halloween magic into a lifelong commitment to drag artistry and activism. Crowned Miss Gay Filipino in 2001, she launched the "Lola Maharlika" LGBT Youth College Book Fund, leaving a legacy of community support. Aleksa's remarkable journey includes titles such as La Femme Magnifique and Miss Gay Seattle, and she has graced stages from Pink Martini concerts to the Vagina Monologues. As Olympia XXXV and Heir Apparent to the Queen Mother of the Americas, Aleksa has traveled across North America advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights, all while producing annual fundraisers and speaking at countless events. Off stage, they serve as the Program Manager for CDC’s “National HIV Behavioral Surveillance” at Public Health - Seattle & King County, continuing their long-standing work in public health and addiction services, making her a beloved leader in Seattle and beyond.

Ceasar Hart: Seattle’s Premiere Drag King and King of the PNW!

Ceasar has been a Drag King in the PNW for well over a decade! You may have seen him at one of the many prides across Washington State, including Seattle Pride, Grays Harbor Pride, Yakima Pride, Thurston County, and more. Ceasar Hart, Drag King of the Pacific Northwest.

He has performed at many venues and colleges. He has been a part of the Humanities Washington Speaker Bureau for the last two years, educating and informing communities virtually and in person on Drag and the history of the LGBTQ community. In recent years, he has focused his work in the Grays Harbor County area, helping change negative mentalities towards his LGBTQ community. Past reigning title holder for Mr. Neighbours Nightclub, one of the oldest LGBTQ nightclubs in Seattle. This past December, he won the title for Mr. Community through the Community Pageant. Ceasar is a dedicated advocate and activist for his community and beyond. He aims for his community to be able to live in a world soaked in acceptance for all. He lives to see a world where people who identify with the LGBTQ community can live 100% authentically without apology, without fear of judgment or violence.

Ally Ang: Ally Ang is a gaysian poet & editor based in Seattle. Their work has appeared in The Rumpus, Muzzle Magazine, Poets.org, and elsewhere. Ally has received fellowships and support from the National Endowment for the Arts, MacDowell, Artist Trust, and the Jack Straw Writers Program.
