$20 Can Wrap a Womb in Love, Healing, and Ancestral Wisdom

Our Goal: To provide womb wraps for as many women as possible — starting with our next community wellness pop-up on August 31, 2025.

Each wrap costs just $20, and every donation puts a healing tool directly into the hands of a woman who needs it.

Why Womb Wrapping Matters

Wrapping your womb is more than a cultural tradition — it’s a reclamation of care and a return to ancestral practices that protect and nourish the center of a woman’s being.

I first learned about womb wrapping while training as a doula in the African American Southern tradition. I began using it after my own pregnancy and postpartum journey — and I kept using it because I experienced benefits that went far beyond recovery.

Over time, I realized this practice could support women in acknowledging, loving, and protecting their wombs in a world that often teaches us to disconnect from them.

The Reality We Face

Approximately 80% of Black women will develop uterine fibroids by the age of 50.
Womb related health issues, from painful cycles to hysterectomies, disproportionately affect Black girls and women.
Many women experience pelvic discomfort, lower back pain, and instability during pregnancy or postpartum, yet are rarely given tools for relief beyond medication or rest.
These challenges can often be eased and most times prevented, through holistic care, body awareness, and preventive practices rooted in our ancestral traditions.

How Womb Wrapping Helps

Womb wrapping gently supports the pelvis, lower back, and abdominal area while encouraging circulation, warmth, and stability — physically and energetically.

It can:

Support postpartum recovery and reduce pelvic discomfort
Ease menstrual pain and bloating
Promote emotional grounding and body awareness
Serve as a daily reminder to honor and care for the womb

When we wrap, we are saying: I see you. I care for you. You are sacred.

Peace! I am Tayler…

Founder of DAWA, a joyful lifestyle movement rooted in ancestral wellness. DAWA is the Kiswahili word for nature's medicine. My journey began in 2015 while studying African history, which awakened me to the greatness of my ancestors and sparked my love for nature and plant medicine.

As a mother of three, all conceived, birthed, and cared for in sacred ancestral ways, I was called to help other families experience joyful childbirth. Along the way, I discovered that our negative pregnancy and birth outcomes don’t just begin in pregnancy—they start long before conception. This truth led me to focus deeply on womb wellness as the foundation of generational health.

Through DAWA, I’ve trained over 100 wellness leaders across the Pittsburgh region, guiding families to reconnect with nature, nourish their bodies, and reclaim a legacy of healing. My vision is for every home to have a DAWA MAMA (Medicine Woman)—a woman who uses nature to heal herself, her family, and her community.
