Closest to the Pin Challenge – Official Rules

Eligibility: Open to all registered golfers in the tournament. One overall winner will receive the Closest to the Pin prize.
Designated Hole: The contest will take place on the designated par-3 hole. Only shots hit on this hole are eligible.
Tee Shot Requirement: Only the player’s first tee shot on the designated hole counts. Mulligans can't be used. No handicaps.
Ball on the Green: To be eligible, the ball must come to rest on the green. Any ball off the green is not eligible, regardless of proximity.
Measurement: Distances will be measured and recorded by the hole monitor. The shot closest to the pin, as verified by the monitor, will win the prize.
How Measurement Works: The hole monitor will measure from the edge of the hole to the eligible ball using a simple measuring tool (such as a tape measure or pre-marked measuring cord).
Recording: If a shot is closer than the current leader, the hole monitor will send the leading shot, including the player’s name and team name to the Golf Tournament Chair. Players do not need to measure or record their own shots.
One Entry Per Player: Only one shot per player will be considered. If multiple qualifying shots occur, only the first valid shot on the green will count.
Ties: In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a method selected by the tournament officials.
Verification: All entries are subject to verification by tournament officials. Any disputes will be resolved at their discretion.

💥 Men’s and Women's Longest Drive (Hole 17) (sponsored by Beacon Hill in partnership with OTHS)

Longest Drive Challenge – Official Rules

Eligibility: Open to all registered golfers in the tournament. Prizes will be presented for both Men’s and Women’s Longest Drive.
Designated Hole: The Longest Drive contest will take place on the pre-assigned hole. Only drives hit on this hole are eligible.
Tee Shots Only: Participants must use their tee shot on the designated hole to qualify. Mulligans can't be used. No handicaps.
Ball in Play Requirement: To be eligible, the ball must come to rest in the fairway. Any ball outside the fairway (including rough, bunkers, or hazards) is not eligible, regardless of distance.
Measurement: Distance is measured from the tee box to the resting position of the ball along the line of play. The longest verified drive in each division wins.
Marking Your Drive: If a shot is further than the current leader, the hole monitor will update the ball marker and send the leading shot, including the player’s name and team name to the Golf Tournament Chair
One Entry Per Player: Only one drive per player may be recorded. If multiple attempts occur, only the first valid fairway drive will count.
Ties: In the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by a method selected by tournament officials.
Verification: All entries are subject to verification by tournament officials. Any disputes will be resolved at their discretion.

Hole-in-One Challenge – Official Rules

Eligibility: Open to all registered golfers in the tournament. One winner will receive the Hole-in-One prize as described below. Must be 18 years or older to win.
Designated Hole: The Hole-in-One contest will take place on the designated par-3 hole. Only shots taken on this hole are eligible.
Teeing Distances:
- Men’s Tees: 165 yards
- Women’s Tees: 150 yards
Tee Shot Requirement: Only the player’s first tee shot on the designated hole is eligible. Mulligans can't be used. No handicaps.
Hole-in-One Requirement: To win the prize, the ball must be holed out in one stroke from the tee.
Witness Requirement: The hole-in-one must be witnessed by:
- The designated hole monitor who will send the winner's name to the Golf Tournament Chair
- At least one additional player within the team
Scorecard Verification: If a hole-in-one is made, all players within the team may be asked to sign the scorecard to verify the achievement.
Verification & Claim Process: All hole-in-one claims are subject to verification by tournament officials. A formal claim will be submitted after the tournament in accordance with sponsor and insurance requirements.
One Winner: Only the first verified hole-in-one will be awarded the prize. In the event of multiple hole-in-ones, prize determination will follow the sponsor’s official rules and insurance guidelines.
Prize Details & Conditions:
- Winner is responsible for all taxes and fees associated with acquiring the vehicle
- Exact vehicle may not be available; a replacement of equal or lesser value will be provided
- No cash value
- Prize is not transferable
Conduct of Play: All tournament rules and standard golf etiquette apply. Any attempt to manipulate or violate rules will result in disqualification.

4‑Player Scramble—Official Tournament Rules

🟩 1. Format Overview

- All four players tee off on every hole

- The team selects the best shot

- All players move their ball to that spot and hit their next shot from there

- This continues until the ball is holed

- Only one score per hole is recorded for the team

- Sequential Rotation—after completing their starting hole, teams move to the next hole number

🟦 2. Tee Shots

- All players hit a tee shot on every hole

- The team chooses the best tee shot based on position, lie, and strategy

- Each player places their ball within one club length of that spot (same cut of grass, no closer to the hole)

🟧 3. Playing Subsequent Shots

- After selecting the best shot, all players hit from that location

- Balls must be placed:

- Within one club length of the chosen shot

- No closer to the hole

- Same lie (fairway stays fairway, rough stays rough, bunker stays bunker)

- In bunkers, players must recreate the lie (rake, then place)

🟨 4. On the Putting Green

- Selected ball is marked

- All players putt from that spot

- Balls must be placed within 6 inches of the marked location, no closer to the hole

- Once a ball is holed, the team records one score

🟫 5. Putting Minimum

- Each player must contribute one holed putt on the front nine and one holed putt on the back nine. After a player has met their minimum for that nine, teams may use any player’s putt.

🟪 6. Mulligans

- Mulligans may be purchased and used one per player per shot (3 Mulligans per golfer max)

- Mulligans cannot be used on challenge holes

🟩 7. Pace of Play

- Play ready golf at all times

- Limit ball searches to 2 minutes

- Keep up with the group ahead—not the group behind

- If a putt is inside “gimme” range (your event defines this), pick it up to maintain pace

🟦 8. Scoring

- Record one team score per hole

- Lowest total score wins

- Ties may be broken by:

- Scorecard playoff (starting with the hardest handicap hole)

- Sudden‑death chip‑off

- Pre‑set committee method

🟧 9. Common Clarifications

- You may use the same player’s shot as often as you want

- If a player cannot contribute on a hole (injury, lost ball, etc.), the team may continue with remaining players

- A ball chosen in a penalty area must be played under the rules of that area—no free relief
