IBR is excited to launch our first online auction!

Eleven local artists created some of the most beautiful and unique birdhouses we have ever seen. Each one comes with a statement as to what inspired the artist and a fully functional birdhouse for the birds.

Both you and the birds win!

Bidding starts on Friday, Oct 20^th, at 12pm. You will have 5 days to bid on the house you want. Bidding closes on Tuesday the 24^th at 8pm.

View now, decide which one (or two!) you want, bid, and win! Not only is this a great gift for yourself, but a great gift for the bird lovers in your life.

The proceeds from this fundraiser will help us prepare for winter. We will purchase more indoor caging, enrichment toys, as well as food to help us over winter the birds in our care.

Winning donors will be notify October 24 after close of auction. Payment is due at closing.

Winning bidders will be notified by email.

Birdhouses can be picked up October 25-31 at Iowa Bird Rehabilitation.

If the winning bidder is out of town, IBR can ship your birdhouse. Shipping to be paid by the winning bidder.

ABOUT IBR

Iowa Bird Rehabilitation (IBR) is a wildlife rehabilitation center located in Iowa where we provide care for songbirds, waterfowl, gamebirds, shorebirds, and small raptors. IBR was founded in 2012 and was formally established as a non-profit in 2018. Currently, there is no other organization in central Iowa that provides the same unique benefits we offer to both the community and nature. We have taken in over 9,000 birds to date, with an average yearly increase of 25%, admitting over 1800 birds in 2022 alone.

IBR relies on volunteer help with rescue, transport, care, resource management, media, community outreach and education. We are exceptionally positioned to serve the Des Moines metro area, and beyond, in providing education, enrichment, and volunteer opportunities to people of all ages who have an interest in local avian conservation. We also provide valuable assistance, education, and advice to a growing number of people in our community who value Iowa’s wildlife.

Iowa Bird Rehabilitation is a nonprofit, volunteer based organization whose goal is to recover, rehabilitate and release orphaned and injured wild birds in the state of Iowa. We are licensed through the Iowa DNR and have a federal permit through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
